About Me

I have been creating art in one form or another nearly all my life. Growing up in a family of artists and musicians made this easy to do. I studied art at Western Washington University, focusing on graphic design. While I found that I was not being fulfilled in my graphic design career, the techniques and philosophies I learned from the industry have influenced my work ever since. Now most of my artistic expression is in the form of oil painting and collage, with plaster, stencil, and found objects for texture. Photographs have also found their way into my paintings as an outgrowth of my dabbling in photography.
